Ordering & Services
We recommend placing custom cake orders at least 7 days in advance to ensure availability and allow adequate time for design consultation. For elaborate wedding cakes or large events, 2-4 weeks advance notice is ideal. However, we understand that sometimes you need something special on short notice, so please call us at 352-248-9432 to discuss rush orders.
We offer both pickup and delivery options. Pickup is available during our regular business hours. Delivery is available for custom cakes, catering orders, and bulk supply purchases. Delivery fees vary based on distance and order size. Contact us to discuss delivery options for your specific needs.
Yes! We have a portfolio of previous custom cake designs available for viewing, and we can also arrange a consultation where we discuss your vision in detail. During consultations, we can show you examples of different decorating techniques, styles, and finishes. For wedding cakes and large events, we also offer cake tasting appointments.
We take allergies and dietary restrictions very seriously. We offer gluten-free options, can work with dairy alternatives, and can accommodate many other dietary needs. Please inform us of any allergies or restrictions when placing your order. While we make every effort to prevent cross-contamination, please note that we work in a facility that handles common allergens including wheat, dairy, eggs, and nuts.
Products & Supplies
Yes! We proudly serve both home bakers and commercial operations. Individual customers can purchase supplies for their home baking projects, while restaurants, bakeries, and catering companies can establish commercial accounts for volume orders with special pricing. Contact us to set up a commercial account if you're interested in bulk purchasing.
Absolutely! If there's a specific product, ingredient, or tool you need that we don't currently stock, we'll do our best to source it for you. Special orders typically take 1-2 weeks depending on the item and supplier availability. There's no minimum order quantity for special requests, though larger quantities may result in better pricing.
We carefully select products from trusted, professional-grade brands known for quality and consistency. Our inventory includes industry-leading names for flours, chocolates, equipment, and specialty ingredients. The specific brands we carry may vary by category. Yes! Volume discounts are available on most products, especially for commercial customers with established accounts. Bulk pricing varies by product and quantity. For the best pricing on large orders, please contact us directly so we can provide a custom quote based on your specific needs.
Quality & Freshness
We bake fresh every single day, starting before dawn. Our breads are made using traditional methods including natural starters and slow fermentation. We don't use artificial preservatives, so our products are meant to be enjoyed within a few days of purchase for optimal freshness. All baked goods are clearly labeled with bake dates, and we provide storage instructions with each purchase.
We use premium, high-quality ingredients in all our baked goods: real butter, fresh eggs, quality flours, and natural vanilla extract. We source organic ingredients when possible and never use artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors. Our commitment is to authentic, traditional baking with ingredients you can recognize and trust.
Storage recommendations vary by product. Breads are best kept at room temperature in a paper bag or bread box and consumed within 2-3 days. Pastries should be kept in an airtight container and enjoyed within 1-2 days. Custom cakes with buttercream can be kept at room temperature for a day, but should be refrigerated for longer storage. We provide specific storage instructions with each purchase.
Payment & Pricing
We accept cash, all major credit cards, and debit cards. For commercial accounts, we also offer invoicing with net payment terms after account approval. Custom orders typically require a deposit at the time of ordering, with the balance due upon pickup or delivery.
Yes, custom cake orders and special event catering require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your date and begin work on your order. The remaining balance is due upon pickup or before delivery. This deposit ensures we can dedicate the necessary time and resources to creating your custom order perfectly.
We understand that plans change. For custom orders, cancellations made more than 7 days before the event date will receive a full refund minus the deposit. Cancellations with less than 7 days notice forfeit the deposit, as we've already begun work on your order. For same-day cancellations or no-shows, the full order amount is charged. We appreciate your understanding of this policy.
General Information
We're open Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. We're closed on Sundays. During major holidays, our hours may vary, so please call ahead or check our website for holiday schedules. The best selection of fresh baked goods is typically available early in the morning and mid-afternoon when we bring out fresh batches.
While we don't currently offer regular scheduled classes, we occasionally host special workshops and demonstrations. We're also happy to provide guidance and tips when you're shopping for supplies. Follow us on social media or sign up for our email list to be notified about upcoming events and workshops.
We love sharing our passion for baking! While we can't offer tours of our production areas due to health code regulations and space limitations, you can see some of our baking process from our customer area. We also share behind-the-scenes content on our social media channels. For custom cake consultations, we're happy to show you samples and discuss our techniques in detail.
